Story
I was hoping the fog would burn off by the time I reached Coyote Wall. I had not been to this mountain before, so I was looking forward to the amazing views I've seen pics of. I would say, 'no luck', but as it turned out, the mist provided a different sort of visual beauty. The forest had a bit of spookiness to it, but seemed so peaceful (yet I always felt like someone was watching me!).
There is a section of trails on the side of the hill leading to Coyote Wall, called Labyrinth. I believe you really need the fog to understand this meaning. It was fairly populated, however with the limited visibility, you frequently saw shadows approach, then veer off in another direction before coming into clear view. Occasionally you could hear voices nearby, yet see nothing. It was like walking through a dream.
Over all it was an easy hike. Took me around 5 or 6 hours. Not too steep. Ground was solid, no dangerous ledges or huge obstacles to climb.
The only issues I had was following the wrong trails in the labyrinth... easy to correct following AllTrails or OnX maps.
