In the shadow of Table Mountain lies a path less followed
Two mountains in one trip!

While everyone else at this trailhead is following one of the paths along the Pacific Crest Trail towards Table Mountain, I chose to take the loop across the peaks of Cedar Mountain and Aldrich Mountain.

Story

I know... just another hike in the gorge... I've done so many!

When you arrive here, you need to stop at the Bonneville Hotsprings Resort. They manage the trailhead. Day pass costs $10 (per vehicle/group). They did give me a $5 coupon to use in their bar (valid same day only).

Sections of these trails coincide with the famous Pacific Crest Trail. Many people I spoke to on the trails were heading up or returning from Table Mountain. I'll hike that one soon.

The path I chose (Aldrich Mountain and Cedar Mountain Loop - AllTrails) was not the popular one. Several areas were overgrown and I had a hard time figuring out where the trail was. There were also several other trails intersecting the one I was to follow. Several times AllTrails alerted me for following the incorrect path!
